Stout Sangaree

The Sangaree is one of the oldest cocktails in the world, dating back to the 1700’s.  It was then a simple combination of fortified wine, sugar and water finished with a dusting of spice.  Today we offer you a contemporary twist on this long-lost classic combining stout beer and port wine for a delightfully rich, decadent cocktail that is perfect for cold weather imbibing.  Easy to make, this three-ingredient cocktail will become a winter staple and is a great kick-off to an easy chair afternoon of football.    

Stout Sangaree

In a Pint glass add:

• 6 Ounces Traditional Stout Beer (we used Guinness Draft Stout)
• 2 Ounces Ruby Port

Stir to combined.  Dust with fresh grated nutmeg.
