Lychee fruit is not the most common thing to find in the grocery store, but their sweet-tart character makes them worth searching out as a wonderful cocktail mixer. Today we share with you a simple concoction made with Lychee. It is a fruited Martini that is bright, delicious and a crowd-pleaser. If you can’t find canned Lychees in the grocery store there are numerous options online. As always the best outcome comes from using top-shelf ingredients so don’t skim on the vodka or vermouth. It is also of note that this drink is best served painfully cold so shake the drink till your arms hurt and strain into a chilled Martini stem.
Lychee Martini In a shaker glass filled with ice add:
Shake till painfully cold, then shake some more. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a skewer of lychees. *Canned Lychees are packed in their own natural syrup, so all you need to do is reserve this syrup for use in the cocktail. |
